Are Classic Aluminum Pressed Plates Road Legal?

Pressed number plates are legal for certain vehicles in the UK, but there are some important restrictions. If your vehicle is registered after March 21st, 2001, it must comply with the British Standard BS AU 145e (BSAU 145e) for the plates to be road legal. Vehicles registered before 1980 may display pressed plates, as they fall under the vintage vehicle exemption.
